This pendant is inspired by Eni Oken's Abacus.

Made of several feet of sterling silver wire and dyed freshwater pearls, this is Mum's Mother's Day present this year.

Wasabi and Ginger (Now Mine)

Similar to Seeing Green, but in pink and green this time. Once again, the glass beads can be detached to be used as a bracelet. A new twist is that the length of the necklace is also adjustable.

I like this so much, I've decided to keep it. If you'd like something similar, please do not hesitate to e-mail me.

Seeing Green!

Fun and funky. This necklace two-tier necklace is a mix of silver- lined green glass squares and suede cording.

Cool factor = it can be used as a bracelet too!

Wired!

Inspired to try wire wrapping by Simone, this was what I came up with:

Silver-lined glass squares (two shades)interspersed with freshwater pearls with a sterling silver clasp.

The photo doesn't do it justice. It is rather stunning and eye-catching in 'person'.

Vivian

This pair of amber and sterling silver earrings are named after the very sweet Vivan they're for.

I hope you enjoy them, Vivian.

Pearl Explosion

I named this Pearl Explosion as it seemed to me an explosion of pearls. It is a cha-cha style bracelet made with freshwater pearls with sterling silver headpins on a sterling silver chain bracelet. Each pearl was lovingly and carefully attached to the chain by hand. It makes a lovely and soothing rustling sound when you move.

It dresses up a simple outfit of jeans and t-shirt, and is not out of place with something more dressy.

Ocean Fantasy Necklace

This stunning necklace will definitely be noticed. I am very tempted to keep it for myself at this point.

It is made of nacre and has a large sterling starfish as its focal. Its clasp is also sterling silver.

It has a matching bracelet, the Ocean Fantasy Bracelet, which is also made of nacre, and has a smaller sterling silver starfish placed off-centre.

Turquoise and Silver - SOLD

Can you tell that I love turquoise? And I love the combination of turquoise and silver.

This piece is made of irregular turquoise nuggets and sterling silver spheres. The clasp is a sterling silver toggle.

Some turquoise history:
In many cultures of the Old and New World this gemstone has for thousands of years been appreciated as a holy stone, a good-luck-charm or a talisman. It is a virtual "peoples’ gemstone”. The oldest proof for this lies in Egypt, where in tombs from the period around 3000 B.C. there were found artefacts set with Turquoise. In the ancient Persian Kingdom the sky-blue gemstones were originally worn around the neck or on the hand as protection to ward off unnatural death.

Why does my turquoise change colour? Is it fake?
It has been uncovered that Turquoises may in fact change their colour. The reason for the colour change is rather the influence of light, cosmetic products, dust or even the ph-value of the skin, which may all trigger off chemical responses.

How do I care for my turquoise?
Turquoise should be protected from cosmetics, heat and bright daylight. The gemstone does not really appreciate sunbathing. It is recommended to clean it from time to time after wearing with a soft cloth. When not worn, store your turquoise and silver jewellery in a ziploc bag.

Pieces of Sky

The brilliant sky-blue colour of Turquoise gave this piece it's name. :)

The piece is made with irregular turquoise nuggets, white freshwater pearls and faceted black acrylic beads. It has a sterling silver toggle clasp.

Turquoise is the one of the official birth stones for the month of December and the Planetary stone for Aquarius, Taurus and Sagittarius.

Turquoise is thought to attract money, success and love. Its powers include protection, healing, courage, friendship, and luck, relaxing the mind and easing mental tension.

Tuscany - SOLD

The warm colour of the yellow jade just evoked the golden glow of the Tuscan summer.

This necklace is made with two shades of yellow jade, and is accented with faceted sterling silver spacers, which add to the elegance of the piece. The clasp is also sterling silver.

Jade is listed as the Mystical birthstone for the month of March and the birthstone for the Sun Sign Virgo. Jade may be given as a gem on the 12th 30th and 35th wedding anniversary. It is thought to protect the kidneys, liver, spleen, heart, larynx, thymus, and thyroid. Ancient people thought that wearing jade would increase body strength and add longevity. Jade is also an ancient symbol of love and virtue.

In particular, yellow jade is linked with the assimilation and understanding of new information, and for enhancing feelings of compassion and empathy. Yellow jade exudes a healing and soothing energy that benefits the digestive system.

Ocean Fantasy Bracelet

I'm just testing out the uploading pictures direct from my computer function. It seems to work. Yay! I no longer have to upload to photobucket and then attach the link. Cutting down one step makes life so much easier.
